UBT303 - Astrophysics-I fall

Distances of nearby stars, parallax, colors of stars, magnitude scale, blackbody, solar radition, absolute magnitude, H-R diagram, color-magnitude diagrams, luminosities of the stars, effective temperatures of the stars, spectral classification, introduction to stellar spectra. 

UBT203 - Spherical Astronomy (3+1) fall

Spherical Trigonometry, Celestial Sphere, Refraction, Time and Seasons, Aberration, Parallax, Precession and Nutation... The course is aimed for astronomy majors.

UBT5017 - Astronomical Spectroscopy (3+1) Spring

Introductıon to spectroscopy, the nature of the spectra, atomic Hydrogen, Helium spectra, radiation in the presence of fields...The course is aimed for astronomy masters. Please see the instructor for prerequisites.
