Tools for data reduction and analysis of stellar spectroscopic observations:
RadVELAS (Radial VELocity Analysis Software) : is mainly designed to obtain spectroscopic radial velocities from echelle and/or long-slit spectra of RV Tauri type post-AGB stars. Several processes including continuum normalization and merging are performed in an automated manner , without need for a user interaction. Continuum normalized spectrum is cross-correlated with a mask that can be a either a stellar spectrum or a synthetic spectrum degraded to the resolution of input stellar spectrum. Coefficients for fitted polynomials and peak value of cross-correlation function is reported in a separate log file. Merged output spectra is also recorded as an SP2 file allowing one to further process the result spectrum in IDL. Download Link

TIGER : as a graphically enhanced reduction package is mainly developed for echelle spectroscopy in collaboration with Prof.Dr.Simon JEFFERY of Armagh Observatory, NI, UK
Capabilities of TIGER includes,
- Spectral order fitting (see A-2 in the figure).
- Interpolation of blaze profiles (see C- in the fig.).
- Normalization via continuum selection (see A-1 and -2 in the fig.).
- Pseudo-continuum normalization.
- Cosmic-ray removal.
- Quick-look fitting and overlapping inspection (see E-1 and -2 in the fig.).
- Manipulation of rectified orders interactively prior to merging.
- Merging of rectified spectral orders.
- Quick-look spectrum inspection.
- Production of merged and rectified spectrum in spectrum-2(SP2) file format.
LIME (Line Measurement for Echelle Spectra): is such a handy tool designed for performing line measurements from an ( LIME-RADVEL processed) input spectrum in IDL programming language. The spectrum to be processed with LIME is converted to stellar rest wavelength scale and it has been continuum normalized for this purpose using LIME-RADVEL. Current version of the LIME (ver 4.0; May 2017) provides not only most probable list of identification for the line of interest but also lists the related atomic data which may have been compiled and fed into the code by the user. The output file including interactively measured line positions is an ascii file in a MOOG ready format . Download Link

INSS (Interactive Normalization of Stellar Spectra): is another widget based handy tool that was originally designed as an alternative to RadVELAS for continuum normalization of an 1D and/or 2D echelle (and/or long-slit) spectrum.
TVIEW : is a (byproduct) widget based tool for a quick inspection of astronomical spectra.
Automated Ionization Balance Computation via Shell-Scripting
With this shell script developed in the HRSS group, user will have access to MOOG in silent mode and is able to compute abundances in an automated way. The script is mainly aimed for time-consuming ionization balance computations that are indispensible for compilation of a (theoretical) HR diagram for the source of interest. The script is planned to be accessible via a cgi interface in the following link. Download
Automated Model Atmosphere Computation via Shell-Scripting
Model atmosphere computation is a vital stage in determination of chemical compositions for stellar abundance analysis. With this shell script, the user may create a grid of model atmospheres to be used in chemical abundance computations of stellar sources. A range in effective temperatures is required then the model atmospheres are computed for a certain value of the gravity. Download
